| Folksinger Dan Coyle's new album "You Linger Your Little Hour And Are
Gone" is a collection of refreshing fluid vocal sounds accompanied by
soft syncopated acoustic guitar rhythms.Coyle's proof of talent is
marked by very tastefully written lyrics in each song.Overall I find
this album very mellow, poetic, and joyous album. Nina Ȑogȕe Ȑoșș ™ | Media/Press: jessica@dancoyle.com alex@dancoyle.com |
"Bright musicality and sunny inflections almost hide the thoughtful and
thought-provoking lyrics that are woven throughout this album. A lo-fi
live recording that's simple without being simplistic, and utterly
charming." Alexandra McKay, Prince St. Press
"Coyle fits nicely between folk insight and a clever musicality that avoided minor chords where you'd ordinarily expect them, like when he covered Simon & Garfunkel's "Homeward Bound." Perhaps this added to his overall upbeat demeanor and charm. Coyle was pleasant and genuinely shy, but came out strong with the start of each new song. I liked him." "When you listen to the recent work of Chicago-based
singer/songwriter Dan Coyle, you get the feeling he’s got a knack for
spotting the silver lining in whatever gray cloud life puts over his
head."

| "A new voice has emerged on the Chicago music scene that is refreshingly original yet uniquely familiar. Not copyright infringement familiar more like comfy couch familiar. Dan Coyle delivers a clean melodic sound reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel but with a decidedly contemporary feel. Coyle, singer/songwriter/guitar wielding vocalist showcases his vocal abilities with original songs that draw you into his world and you're happy he did. He deftly works his guitar to expose the finer points of interest in his songs and often times surprises us with string drenching riffs. Alternately powerful and thoughtful, his lyrics describe an artist whose passion for his music is clearly evident a creative soul who can think of little else but making music for his fans. Good news for his fans." J. Vincent Red Onion News | Press Photo ![]() |
| "As soon as
the opening notes began, a smile erupted on my face as I listened to
this wonderful love song. The number one thing I look for in a song is
Emotion, and this artist has gobs and gobs of it." Controldelta (Canada) | Press Photo ![]() |
"I caught a couple of Dan Coyle’s performances at the Elbo Room - his initial performance and a second one months later. Clearly, his music is catching on as the crowd at the second show swelled both in numbers and enthusiasm. His first performance was raw yet still engaging. No sense discussing the first show because his second effort is really worth the print. Though somewhat skeptical, the crowd was quickly won over after their first song, “Break Me Into Pieces”, which first lulled you into a quite comfort and then roused you with the adeptly played guitar riff. You knew immediately you were in for a treat. Throughout the course of the set, Coyle displayed a skillful, well composed style of crowd-friendly rock that captivated the audience through his final and recently released new song, “Goodbye”. Accompanied by Tim McCormick who played the African drums and tambourine (quite cleverly), Coyle led us through a musical journey that left you wondering why it ended so soon." | "If
you missed Chicago singer-songwriter Dan Coyle at the Mock Crest Tavern
Wednesday night you should be ashamed! The very original lyricist
covered the best of his material in a two hour set that kept you on the
edge of your seat. The crowd didn't give Coyle the respect he deserved,
as his vocal and guitar capabilities far exceeded expectations. If he
comes around again (let's hope) his show is a MUST. Kudos to him and his
hard work. Rock on!" City Source Portland | Press Photo![]() |

"...Dan Coyle has accomplished what many musicians before him have not - a musical style all his own. Thoughtful lyrics and spell binding guitar combine for a unique sound that is refreshing to hear. His CD titled “Random Thoughts and Incomplete Sentences" is a beautiful collection of his recent work..." Red Onion News
